The Shelburne is a museum of art and Americana founded in 1947. It features thirty-nine exhibition buildings arrayed on forty-five acres. Its collection features approximately 100 historic Native American artifacts including baskets, pottery, clothing, tools, weapons, fish decoys, and canoes from the Southeast, Southwest, and Northwest. Collections also include several bronzes of Native Americans (not made by Native Americans), including busts of chiefs and riding scenes. The collection is the result of three major donors: William and Marie Beach, and Harry Webb.
