The Flossie Martin Gallery in Radford University's Powell Hall was built in 1985. In 1998, a number of the university's art galleries were combined to create the Radford University Art Museum. The galleries house changing exhibitions during the academic year, and selections from the permanent collection are shown May through July in the Flossie Martin Gallery. The collection contains 27 pieces of African art donated by Roger de la Burde and 60 Huichol yarn paintings and 2 Huichol sculptures donated by the Kolla-Landwehr Foundation. A number of these pieces are on display in the Selections from the Permanent Collection exhibition, as well as other locations around campus.
