The Museum of Northern British Columbia is built to resemble a Northwest Coast longhouse. Its exhibits portray Northwest Coast history and culture dating back to the end of the last ice age. It emphasizes oral history, archaeological discoveries, and outstanding works of art from antiquity through the present day. It also interprets local settlement and natural history.
