Museums - Musée de l'Océanie

This museum is devoted to the doings of the Marist missionaries, who arrived in Oceania in 1836. The works they brought back from Fiji, Samoa, and New Zealand are today presented to the public with the goal of conveying the unique sense of the beautiful and the sacred held by Oceanic peoples. A lovely overmodeled Vanuatu skull is among the highlights of the pieces on display.
