Founded in 1860, the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts has assembled a collection of more than 30,000 objects. Its holdings are particularly strong in the decorative arts, Canadian art, and prints and drawings. It also has a small collection of African and Oceanic art, as well as some 625 pre-Columbian objects.
