The département d’anthropologie of the Université de Montréal has acquired an ethnographic collection of some 3,000 objects over the years. The material comes from around the world. Most of it dates from the twentieth century, but the collection also contains some antiquities, including pre-Columbian objects from the Chimu and Chancay cultures.
