Introduction She is known primarily for her admirable images of Dogon country. French photographer Agnès Pataux later began to direct her purist and perfectionist attention to the West African universe of fetishes and those who use them. The Musée du Quai Branly recognized the importance of the extraordinary documentation work she produced when in 2008 it acquired twenty-six of her images in which anthropology and aesthetics converge. |
